1. Who We Are

This website (https://massimociani.com) is owned and operated by Massimo Ciani 3DCG, based in Japan.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy using a “Zero-Tracking” approach. We do not use intrusive analytics tools to track your behavior. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please contact us at privacy@massimociani.com.

2. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

3. Contact Forms

When you contact us using the inquiry or booking forms on our website (such as the “Arch Essentials” or “Arch Signature” forms), we collect personal data that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, studio name, and project details.

  • Purpose: We use this information primarily to respond to your inquiries, provide requested quotes, and manage pre-contractual communications related to our 3D visualization services.
  • Marketing and Third Parties: We will never sell, rent, or share your contact data with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may occasionally use the provided email address to send you direct communications strictly related to our services. You have the right to opt-out of these communications at any time.
  • Retention: We retain data submitted through contact forms for a reasonable period for customer service and administrative management purposes.

4. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

5. Technical and Functional Cookies

This site is designed to respect your privacy and uses only strictly necessary technical cookies for the platform to function. We do not use profiling or third-party cookies for advertising purposes.

  • Browsing Preferences: We use technical cookies to remember the browsing language you selected (via the Polylang plugin) and to avoid repeatedly showing you the language selection screen once a choice is made.
  • Security: Our protection system (Cloudflare) installs a technical cookie called cf_clearance. This cookie is essential for distinguishing human visitors from malicious bots. It does not contain any user-identifying data.
  • Interactions: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies for your convenience. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies.

6. Site Security (Cloudflare)

This website uses services provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) exclusively as a security shield (Web Application Firewall and DDoS prevention) to protect our servers and your data from cyber attacks.

  • No Statistical Tracking: We have explicitly disabled Cloudflare’s Web Analytics and Insights features. We do not track your browsing behavior.
  • Network Data Processing: In order for Cloudflare to block attacks, traffic passes through their servers. Cloudflare automatically evaluates network data (such as IP addresses) to block threats before they reach our site. Processing occurs in accordance with their Privacy Policy for the provision of security services.

7. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, links, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

8. Who we share your data with

  • Service Providers: As detailed in Section 6, technical network data (non-personally identifiable where possible) is processed by Cloudflare solely for security purposes.
  • Password Resets: If you request a password reset (where applicable), your IP address will be included in the reset email for security.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

9. How long we retain your data

  • Comments and Forms: Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely. Data submitted through contact forms is kept for the time necessary to administratively manage your request.
  • Registered Users: For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time.

10. What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or contacted us via a form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address provided in Section 1.
